This interdisciplinary panel gathers artists, scholars, and technologists who are collectively Futurizing Fanon—translating Frantz Fanon’s radical insights into frameworks of liberatory design, ancestral intelligence, and digital cultural technologies that imagine African futures beyond colonial logic. In the spirit of Afrofuturism 2.0, we reframe Fanon’s call for psychic liberation and sociogenic healing through speculative arts, ancestral wisdom, and ethically-centered AI design. Rooted in the Sahel’s emerging centrality in global Black futurisms, this panel offers a bold pluriversal vision that is deeply African, diasporic, and forward-looking.
